In 1953, Ahlgren's candy factory in Gävle decided to try producing marshmallows. The result was not at all what they had imagined, instead they produced small foam candy pieces that resembled a car in shape. The cars tasted fantastic and it was decided not to change anything, Ahlgrens bilar - Sweden's tastiest car - was born!
